Much has come out in the headlines today.  Not much good news except the stimulus/relief bill that is still being finalized.  I’ll not delve into politics on this blog.

As we move into the second week of more than 206,000 hospitality workers being laid off or fired, we keep them in our prayers as we do our nation and our planet. It’s truly unusual to have an entire globe with the same problem, but at the same time, it’s never been a better time to pull together to make this a success story.

Many of my colleagues are chomping at the bit to go back to work, and others are taking it in stride.  The latter is a better option as it’s an opportunity to spend more time with the family, more time with taking care of yourself, and more time to self-reflect. It’s perfectly understandable to feel either way.

As we move closer to the month of April, the Entertainment Capital of the World is on edge, just as the rest of the globe.  There are those who have been in close proximity to those that tested positive, and there are those of course who are unaware that they have been exposed.  It has been ten days so far for most that worked their last day at most businesses, and for others it’s nine.  In either case we keep everyone in our thoughts and prayers here at Hospitality First.  Godspeed, God Bless, and stay safe and healthy.
